About RIVVOR

RIVVOR is a next-generation wireless systems company based in Silicon Valley, with engineering hubs in Montréal, Canada, and Tbilisi, Georgia. We are building ultra-high-speed wireless infrastructure using advanced mmWave and RF technologies—from Earth to orbit and beyond.

Founded by seasoned engineers from AMD and top-tier research labs, our team blends semiconductor execution, system design, and physics-driven innovation. We partner with leading universities and national labs to solve deep technical challenges in wireless communication, data movement, and infrastructure design.

If you're excited by elegant systems, complex architecture, and creating the blueprint for something truly groundbreaking, this is your moment.

About the Role

As Senior Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be RIVVOR’s first dedicated mechanical lead, designing and building physical infrastructure for some of the world’s fastest wireless systems. You’ll own the mechanical design and assembly of testbeds, enclosures, thermal systems, and structural supports that operate in high-power, high-frequency environments—from lab benches to field deployments.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the development of deep-tech hardware from the ground up.

What You’ll Do

  • Design custom enclosures, rack systems, and mechanical assemblies in SolidWorks or similar CAD tools

  • Run thermal and airflow simulations to ensure effective cooling of high-power RF/digital modules.

  • Perform structural analysis for vibration, shock, and field reliability.

  • Prototype and build mechanical hardware for lab use, flight tests, or ruggedized field deployments

  • Collaborate with RF, hardware, and embedded teams to ensure physical and thermal compatibility.

  • Help define best practices and tooling for future mechanical builds.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of mechanical design experience in electronics, RF systems, or data center hardware

  • Experience with thermal/vibration simulations or engineering hand calculations

  • Strong hands-on skills in prototyping, testing, and iterating quickly

  • Solid understanding of material selection, fastening methods, and heat dissipation

  • Bonus: Experience designing racks, NICs, or enclosures for telecom or high-performance computing

  • Proficiency in English and ability to communicate across multidisciplinary teams

Tools & Tech

SolidWorks • Thermal simulation tools (Ansys, COMSOL, or equivalents) • 3D printers & prototyping tools • Data center / RF enclosure design principles

Why Join Us?

  • First Mechanical Hire: Own and shape the mechanical infrastructure from the beginning
Compensation: $57K base + equity + annual bonus

  • Real Impact: Your designs will support wireless systems deployed in labs, data centers, and space

  • Collaborative Culture: Work alongside leading engineers in RF, silicon, and embedded systems

  • Benefits: Flexible work hours, relocation support, team offsites, wellness stipend, health coverage
